Silicon chip or Intel? On the Mac, open the Apple menu in the top left corner and click About This Mac. If it says Chip: Apple M1 / M2 / M3 / M4, take the Silicon chip file. If it says Processor: Intel, take the Intel file. Every Mac bought from 2021 on has a Silicon chip.

Mac: read this before you download. Your Mac will say “Global Advance Communication” Not Opened — Apple could not verify this app. That window has only two buttons. Never click “Move to Trash” — it throws the app away. Click Done and follow the seven steps below.

Mac: the first start, click by click

Double-click the downloaded file (it ends in .dmg). A small window opens.
In that window, drag the app onto the Applications folder next to it.
Open Applications (in Finder, on the left) and double-click Global Advance Communication.
A window appears: “Global Advance Communication” Not Opened. It has only two buttons. Click Done. Never click “Move to Trash”. That throws the app away. The app is ours and it is safe. Your Mac says this only because we are not registered with Apple as a paying developer. If your window does show an Open button, simply click it — you have an older Mac and you are already finished.
Open the Apple menu at the top left → System Settings → Privacy & Security. Scroll all the way down to Security. It says “Global Advance Communication” was blocked to protect your Mac. Click Open Anyway.
Enter your Mac password, or use Touch ID.
One last window asks Open “Global Advance Communication”? Click Open. The app starts. This was the one time. From now on a normal double-click is enough.

This is the window from step 4. It has no Open button. Press Done and continue with step 5.

Did the app end up in the Trash? Open the Trash, right-click the app and choose Put Back. It goes back to Applications and you continue at step 3. You do not have to download the 100 MB again. Nothing starts from inside the Trash.

Windows: the first start, click by click

Right-click the downloaded .zip file and choose Extract All, then Extract. Do not start the app from inside the zip file — it will not work.
A folder opens. Inside it is one more folder called GlobalAdvanceCommunication-2.0.0. Open that one too.
You now see about 18 files. Double-click Global Advance Communication — the one with our round logo. Leave the other files where they are, the app needs them. Do not drag the app alone onto the desktop. If you want it on the desktop, right-click it and choose Show more options → Send to → Desktop (create shortcut).
A blue box says Windows protected your PC. Click More info.
Then click Run anyway.

The blue box appears because the app comes from us and not from a shop. It shows up only the first time. Windows never throws the app away.
